The Athena Award
First awarded in 1975, the Athena Award is an annual award given to recognize outstanding Tucson Panhellenic Alumnae in the areas of Professional, Panhellenic, and Philanthropic achievement.
In 1982, Tucson Alumnae Panhellenic began rotating the area of achievement over a three year period between the categories of Professional Achievement, Panhellenic Service, and Community Service (respectively).
In 2020, The award again changed to broaden the field and to recognize local Panhellenic women who are recognized leaders in their field of endeavour.
The 2023 Athena Award for Panhellenic Excellence will be presented at the 2023 Spring Benefit. For questions, please contact the Athena Award Chairperson.
The Athena Award nominations are open. The Athena Award for Excellence is presented to a local alumna who demonstrates overall, well-rounded successes through multiple avenues such as Panhellenic involvement, professional achievement, and or community and philanthropic service. We would love a nomination per alumnae chapter. Deadline has been extended to March 20.
